I might teach this to a student preparing to transit to grade one or in grade one.
Time Signature:
This is a good piece to teach Compound Duple time - 6 8 as the bass consists of 6 quavers , 2 groups of 3 quavers each.
Texture :
Single melody line in right hand throughout the piece.
Left begins with broken chords for 4 phrases and block chords in the next 4 phrases.
Form : Binary ? ABA ? ( Since there is a DC al Capo )
Key : Melody starts in C major then proceeds to F Major in bar 9 and back to C major.
"Contrast of key is at least as important as contrast of theme, and modulation is one of the chief ways of getting variety into a composition....
